Compare

Compare TraceErase with other ways to remove your personal data

Some services contact data brokers for you. Many official routes are free to follow yourself. TraceErase is a UK directory and toolkit for your own requests, with help from our team for eligible ones once that service opens. These pages set out the differences, with dates and sources, so you can choose.

The comparisons

How we compare

  • We compare like with like: what is offered in the UK, what is automatic, what a person does, what you do yourself, and what evidence of an outcome you get.
  • Listed organisations, reviewed routes, eligible actions, verified submissions and observed outcomes are kept apart. TraceErase has no verified submission and no observed outcome yet.
  • Managed handling by TraceErase is not described as working while it is closed. The live status is shown on each page.
  • Prices stay in their own currency and billing term, with the date and any promotional or tax note.
  • Where TraceErase is weaker, we say so. The definitions of closing an account, erasure, objection, access and listing removal are in one place.

Questions

Are these independent reviews?

No. TraceErase publishes them and sells one of the options. Facts about third parties come from their official pages, linked with the date we read them.

How do I tell you something is out of date?

Use the contact page. We will check it against the source and change the page and its “last updated” date if it was wrong.
